Subscapularis Soft Tissue Release
Purpose: To facilitate soft tissue release of the subscapularis
Procedure: With the patient lying in supine, sit on the side of the plinth of the muscles that you are trying to release. Preposition the patient’s shoulder into internal rotation and adduction to approximate the origin and insertion of subscapularis. Then, using your fingers and stroking in a parallel position, work along the subscapularis from the tendinous junction toward the belly.
